I can’t say enough great things about Captain Louis McMichael and this incredible offshore fishing trip! My two sons and I have been on plenty of fishing trips before, but this was hands-down, without a doubt, THE BEST FISHING TRIP WE’VE EVER BEEN ON! Captain Louis is the complete package—an outstanding fisherman, an incredible guide, a first-class host, and just an all-around awesome Southern gentleman. He makes you feel like you’re fishing with an old friend while delivering a professional, exciting, and unforgettable offshore experience. His knowledge of the water and ability to find the fish are second to none. Captain Louis doesn’t just take you fishing—HE PUTS YOU ON THE FISH! From the moment we dropped our lines, the action was NONSTOP! There was hardly a moment during the entire trip when we didn’t have a fish hooked up. The majority of the time, all three of us had fish on at once! It was constant bites, bent rods, screaming drags, and fish coming over the side of the boat. We caught porgy, triggerfish, several species of snapper, cobia, and even hooked up on a WAHOO! The variety and number of fish we caught was unbelievable. Just when we thought the trip couldn’t get any better, Captain Louis proved us wrong! His first mate, Dillion, was an absolute machine! He worked his butt off from start to finish, constantly running from one end of the boat to the other. He kept us baited, helped land and boat our fish, and made sure we spent our time FISHING instead of waiting. With all three of us hooked up at the same time over and over again, Dillion definitely had his hands full—but he never slowed down! Then came the moment that took this trip to a whole different level... Toward the end of the day, my son said he wanted to catch a shark. Well, apparently Captain Louis “The Fish Whisperer,” made it happen! Captain Louis put my son on an absolutely massive 71⁄2-foot, approximately 200+-pound sandbar shark! WHAT A FIGHT! Watching my son battle that shark was something I will never forget. That alone would have made the trip incredible, but after everything else we had already caught, it was the perfect ending to an unbelievable day on the water. Beyond the incredible fishing, Captain Louis is a true professional. His communication leading up to our trip was outstanding. He kept us informed about the weather and offshore conditions right up until the day of our trip. His boat was great, the ride was excellent, and it was obvious from the beginning that safety and taking care of his customers are his top priorities. But here’s the bottom line: CAPTAIN LOUIS KNOWS WHERE THE FISH ARE—AND HE KNOWS HOW TO PUT YOU ON THEM! If you’re looking for one of those fishing trips where you spend half the day waiting for something to bite, THIS IS NOT THAT TRIP! You better come ready to fish, because when Captain Louis puts you on the spot, IT’S GAME ON! The nonstop action, all three of us fighting fish at the same time, the wahoo hookup, and watching my son battle a 200-pound shark—it simply doesn’t get much better than that! If you’re thinking about booking an offshore fishing trip, BOOK WITH CAPTAIN LOUIS McMICHAEL. Bring plenty of energy. And most importantly... YOU BETTER BE READY TO FISH, BECAUSE CAPTAIN LOUIS WILL PUT YOU ON THE FISH!!! BEST. FISHING. TRIP. EVER. And one thing is for certain—we WILL be scheduling another trip with Captain Louis!

10 out of 10 recommend this was our first time going deep-sea fishing and we had a blast. The captain was super nice and gave us good tips and everything. We call a bunch of fish and we just love the experience.

If you are looking for a trip that you will always remember Capitan Louie is your man. I’ve booked a few full day trips with him and his crew and they have always been able to put us on the fish. If nothing was biting in one spot the captain didn’t waste any time and went to find them. The boat and the gear are top of the line which makes riding out and reeling in the big one just a little easier. If you want to go deep and bend big rods with the opportunity of catching the fish of a lifetime call Louie.

Unreal fishing experience, these guys know what they’re doing. The boat is super nice with all the bells and whistles and safety equipment. I highly recommend Louis and his Mate to anybody looking for a great fishing charter in Charleston, SC!

Captain Louis McMichael is the best in the business! He's not only a skilled angler but also a great teacher. My kids had a blast and caught their first fish thanks to him.

This isn’t my first time chartering with Captain Louie and it certainly won’t be my last. Every venture is run smooth and efficiently and the fish are always biting. It’s also evident that Louie knows the waters like the back of his hand. He brings a lot of entertainment to the charter and it leaves everyone laughing and enjoying themselves. Highly recommended if you need someone to charter your next fishing adventure!

Once the lines were in the water the fish would not stop biting our lines. Great time my customer were happy and the captain made sure everyone was comfortable and safe. I would definitely use him again for entertaining my customers.

What a enjoyable trip catching mahi dolphin. Captain Louie made the trip awesome and his boat mate. I was hesitate about going with my husband but so glad I got to experience it. Already booking for April-May next year. You will not regret it this trip.

Captain Loui is a great fisherman, guide, host, and a southern awesome fellow. I have been out fishing with him 3-4 times now and currently have 3 trips booked for 2023. He absolutely tore the mahi-mahi up in 2022 and put my father and brother on some quality fish. Captain Loui’s choice of mates has been great also, we never missed a boated fish. I’m looking forward to his retirement so I can go more often. Obviously there is other “guides” that can fish, but you will enjoy this fishing trip I guarantee. Get some rest, your forearms and back will need it........
